Missy Burchart, APROutstanding! That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of the 2017 PRSA Southeast District Conference. The conference wrapped on Friday and as I write this note my sense of pride for what the Alabama chapter accomplished hasn’t faded even a little bit. Speakers and topics – outstanding! Special events – outstanding! Attention to detail – outstanding! Southern hospitality – outstanding! This conference team, led by Kevin Storr, went above and beyond to bring this conference together. Praise from our attendees was heard throughout the conference. From the venue to the SWAG bags, this event was simply… outstanding.

There are so many folks to thank, but we would be remiss if we didn’t recognize the following:

David Majors, APR
Rachel Olis, APR
Alicia Rohan
Ally Mills Dorrough, TMP
Tommy Palladino
Leighton Lindstrom
Savannah Koplon
Louise Oliver
Betsy Emmons, APR, PhD
Sara Franklin, APR
Carl Carter, APR
Kara Kennedy
Philip Poole, APR
Dave Rickey, APR

Thank you, also to PRSA National Chair Jane Dvorak, APR, Fellow PRSA; PRSA Southeast District’s national liaison Mindy Hughes, APR; and the entire Southeast District Board for their support. The conference may have been a highlight of our year, but there are many great things to come in 2017, starting with our May chapter meeting. We’re welcoming Erin Wright who will share with us the art of visual storytelling. Register now and we’ll see you on May 9!
