2011 Student Chapter of the Year

In 2011, the UAB Chapter was chosen as the PRCA State Chapter of the Year for the 28th time in its 31 years as a Chapter! The Chapter winning submission included:

• its annual report, which documented the quality of the group’s membership, meetings, fundraising and programs,

• in January 2010, a memorable program was “Hay for Haiti” at Rogue Tavern at which the group raised funds for relief efforts in Haiti,

• in April 2010, another memorable program was “TOMS: One Day Without Shoes” on UAB’s campus, and

• in March 2011, hosting "Jams for Japan" at Rogue Tavern to raise more than $250 for American Red Cross disaster relief efforts.
